The Pohnpei Experience
There are so many things to be seen and experienced in Pohnpei.
The Ruins of Nan Madol by land or by sea.
Waterfalls. Too many to name here. From a quick 30 minute trip, to an extreme all day 6 waterfalls hike in the tropical jungles of Pohnpei.
Snorkeling reef passes, with the Manta Rays or pretty much everywhere we stop with the boats.
Sunset Cruises.
Stand up paddle boards or kayak into the mangrove eco system or over the shallow reefs.
A hike to the top of Sokehs Ridge for an amazing view of the lagoon and barrier reefs and a bit of second world war history with its bunkers and cannons.
Sports fishing. Trolling for open ocean big game fish or spin casting for some big giant trevally’s.
Outer Atoll Excursions
Ant and Pakin are located 10 and 30 miles off shore, respectively. Incredible diving, deep sea fishing, beaches, reef passes, snorkeling, and bird watching. All the guests we have taken there said these are the most beautiful beaches and unreal water they have ever been to or seen in their lives. Other places you have to visit in order to enjoy the feeling and understand the islands are Nahlap and Black Coral. These two islands are located on the barrier reef on the southwest side of the island — tranquil local style resorts with thatch roof bungalows. Black Coral is a Marine Protected area where fish such as grouper spawn during certain times of the year.
Other Activities
A one day trip to off shore Ahnd Atoll. A place you will not want to leave from or will ever forget. Cruise 10 miles off shore with the dolphins into the bluest pacific, snorkel the most amazing reef pass, cruise on the most beautiful beach. You must see it to understand what we are taking about.
We don’t even have to mention the diving and the surfing, mostly opposite seasons.
Let’s not forget all the other hikes, rivers and boat rides. From point A to B another adventure waits for you.
