Typhon Swell for Pohnpei

First typhoon of the summer season starts to develop on the west pacific. Based the latest storm and swell forecast there is decent activity on the way from the west. That sure is a good sign for our summer and early season when we get most of our typhoon swells. Swell should be hitting Pohnpei late on the first week of June and into the second week of the month. Because the typhoons move a lot slower than the north pacific low pressure systems the swells tend to stick around for a lot longer with clean long period lines. Depending on how the typhoon moves it starts with a west typhoon swell and then becomes a north swell from a low as the typhoon moves north.
