National Geographic Stuff!

Went on a fishing/surfing trip Saturday afternoon.
It was really glassy and a 2 to 4 swell running here and there. Some from the NE and some form the West.
I had some big lures out trolling for anything bigger, until I came across a few bird piles and a lot of bait fish around.
I had never stopped my boat to check the action in other occasions and I have never seen bait balls like this before.
The fisherman that came around were not trolling but just throwing their lures by hand and pulling it back. The school and bait were touching the boat. Lot’s of skip jack, rainbow runners, a few mahi’s and a few sharks.
The water was really clear and there was absolutely no wind so you could see all the action going on above and under water. Heading back home I saw around three more of the same kind of schools doing the same thing.bait ball 1

Don't worry. I have never seen these sharks near the surf.
